Job Description: Speck Products is looking for an enthusiastic Freelance Industrial Designer for a 3 to 6 month temporary opportunity. The position supports all areas of the ID process: product research, brainstorming, sketching, CAD modeling, prototyping, rendering, and documentation.   Applicants that can commit to 40 hours per week are encouraged to apply.    About You Deep rooted passion for function, materials, and usability in design. Strong ability to communicate your concepts through sketching. Well versed with the Adobe design suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) and the Microsoft Office suite or the Apple iWork suite. Experience with CAD modeling and rendering software such as, ProE or Solidworks, and Maya or KeyShot. The ability to collaborate with other designers and engineers to identify opportunities and offer fresh solutions. What You'll Do Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Marketing and Project Management teams to support new product designs brainstorming sessions and action planning. Create CAD Modeling Designs, prototyping, rendering and related documentation for new product development projects. Conduct quality inspection reviews on design outputs, drawings, models, and documentation for individual contributions and when appropriate peer reviews. Manage workload according to project deadlines and priorities. Voice creative ideas to the team and support problem solving discussions. Participate in post-mortem debriefs of projects to identify opportunities for future improvements.
